Topics and perspectives of all kinds are welcome. However, Polis doesn’t include articles that are commercial, propagandistic, unverifiable, or careless. If an English version is already online or in print, it isn’t eligible. The editing process often takes several months.

Articles should be informative and concise, with about 1,000 words (generally no less than 500 and no more than 1,500). Include a self-description of one or two sentences and fully cite all sources. If possible, format text according to The Chicago Manual of Style. Relevant charts, tables, maps, drawings, and photos are encouraged.

An editor will respond within two weeks to all eligible submissions.
